of <h1>Regulation 14: CCI Reviews Business Combination Notices for Completeness; Incomplete Notices Can Be Invalidated After Hearing</h1> Regulation 14 of the CCI Regulations, 2011, addresses the scrutiny of notices related to business combinations. Notices filed under regulations 5 or 8 must be complete and conform to the regulations to be valid. The Secretary acknowledges receipt, but the Commission can invalidate a notice if it is deemed incomplete, providing parties an opportunity to be heard. If defects are found, parties must correct them within a specified time. Failure to do so renders the notice invalid. Time taken to correct defects is excluded from statutory periods under relevant sections of the Act and regulations.
