Government power to restrict warehouse manufacturing processes by notification in public interest under Customs Act. An amendment to section 65 of the Customs Act inserts a proviso that Central Government may, if satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest, by notification in the Official Gazette, specify the manufacturing processes and other operations in relation to a class of goods that shall not be permitted in a warehouse, thereby authorizing administrative prohibition of specified in-warehouse manufacturing activities.
