          <h1>Income-tax Act Section 36 Amended: Clause (iva) Percentage Increased from 10% to 14%, Effective April 1, 2025.</h1> Section 36 of the Income-tax Act has been amended by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024. In sub-section (1), clause (iva), the percentage specified is changed from 'ten per cent.' to 'fourteen per cent.' This amendment will take effect from April 1, 2025.
