of <h1>New Amendment to Section 245Q: Applicants Can Withdraw Advance Ruling Requests by October 31, 2024, If No Order Issued</h1> In the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024, an amendment to section 245Q of the Income-tax Act introduces a proviso to sub-section (4). Effective from October 1, 2024, it allows applicants to request in writing, by October 31, 2024, that the Board for Advance Rulings not proceed with their application if no order has been passed under section 245R(2) by the request date.
