of <h1>Section 245R Amended: New Proviso Allows Withdrawal of Applications by Dec 31, 2024, Under Section 245Q(4).</h1> Section 245R of the Income-tax Act is amended by the Finance (No. 2) Act, 2024. A new proviso is added to sub-section (2), effective October 1, 2024. This proviso allows the Board for Advance Rulings to reject an application as withdrawn if it is received under the proviso to sub-section (4) of section 245Q, provided this action is taken on or before December 31, 2024.
