Directorate of Enforcement created, allowing central government to appoint officers and delegate enforcement powers under FEMA. The Directorate of Enforcement is constituted by the Central Government with a Director and other officers; senior directors may be authorised to appoint officers below Assistant Director rank, and officers of Enforcement may exercise powers and discharge duties conferred by the Act subject to conditions and limitations imposed by the Central Government.
