Bar on legal proceedings shields government and central bank from suits for acts done in good faith under the Act. No suit, prosecution or other legal proceeding shall lie against the Central Government, the Reserve Bank, their officers, or any person exercising powers under the Act for anything done or intended to be done under the Foreign Exchange Management Act or its rules, regulations, notifications, directions or orders, where such conduct is performed in good faith.
