<h1>Poll scrutiny obligations require scrutinizers to secure, count and report votes, with the chairman declaring the poll result.</h1> The rule requires the Chairman to ensure Scrutinizers are given registers, specimen signatures, attendance and proxy records and documents received under relevant provisions; Scrutinizers must distribute and record Polling papers (Form No. MGT.12), seal and open the polling box with witnesses, determine proxy validity with the Chairman where ambiguous, count votes, and prepare a report stating total, valid, invalid, and for/against votes. Companies must provide support for electronic voting. The Scrutinizers' report (Form No. MGT.13) must be signed by all Scrutinizers, submitted to and counter-signed by the Chairman within seven days, after which the Chairman shall declare the poll result.
