Register of members requirement: companies must maintain and update member registers in the prescribed form with specified particulars. Every company limited by shares must maintain a register of members in Form MGT-1 from its registration, and existing companies must transfer particulars from prior registers into Form MGT-1, adding any additional information provided by members. Companies without share capital must include specified particulars for each member-identity and contact details, tax or corporate identifiers, familial and guardian data for minors, nominee information, dates of membership and cessation, guarantee amounts or other interests, and any instructions on service of notices.
