The application must be submitted to the Registrar of Companies in Form 1A with a fee of one thousand rupees. The Registrar reviews the application to determine if the name is undesirable. If approved, the name is reserved for 60 days. If not adopted within this period, the name lapses. Applicants have two opportunities for resubmission without additional fees.
