<h1>Public and certain private companies must appoint a managing director and file Form No. 25C per Section 269 Rule 10A.</h1> Section 269, Rule 10A of the Companies Law mandates that every public company and every private company, which is a subsidiary of a public company with a paid-up share capital of five crores rupees or more, must appoint a managing or whole-time director or a manager. Additionally, these companies are required to file a return with the Registrar, as per sub-section (2) of section 269, and include a certificate in the return using Form No. 25C, as specified in Schedule XIII, Part III, paragraph 3.
