of <h1>Section 310 Companies Law caps sitting fees for board meetings at 20K or 10K, depending on company size.</h1> Section 310 of the Companies Law, under Rule 10B, specifies the maximum permissible sitting fees for board or committee meetings. For companies with a paid-up share capital and free reserves of Rs. 10 crore or more, or a turnover of Rs. 50 crore or more, the sitting fee is capped at twenty thousand rupees per meeting. For all other companies, the fee is limited to ten thousand rupees per meeting. These provisions were amended and became effective on July 24, 2003, as per GSR 580(E).
