of <h1>Companies Must Use Form 1AD to Change Registered Office Location Within Same State; Process Takes Two Months</h1> A company wishing to change its registered office location within the same state but under a different Registrar of Companies must apply to the Regional Director using Form 1AD and pay a fee of Rs. 500. The Regional Director will issue a written confirmation within four weeks after hearing the parties involved. The company must then submit this confirmation to the relevant Registrar of Companies within two months, prompting the Registrar to update the records and transfer them to the appropriate jurisdiction. These provisions were introduced on January 31, 2001.
