<h1>Amendment to Section 441: Fines for Non-Compliance by Company Officers Doubled Under Companies (Amendment) Act, 2020.</h1> Section 441 of the principal Act has been amended by the Companies (Amendment) Act, 2020. The amendment replaces sub-section (5) with a provision that if any company officer or employee fails to comply with an order from the Tribunal, Regional Director, or an authorized officer of the Central Government, the maximum fine for the offence proposed to be compounded will be twice the amount specified in the relevant section where the punishment for the offence is outlined.
