          <h1>Appointment of Tax Officers: Government may notify classes of officers and re designate preexisting VAT officers accordingly.</h1> The Government may, by notification, appoint specified classes of State tax officers to administer the Act, and officers appointed under the prior Value Added Tax law are deemed to be officers under this Act and re designated to corresponding State tax posts to ensure administrative continuity.
