Definitions expand import and export to include goods, services and technology across multiple modes of supply, subject to Special Economic Zone rules; they define key administrative terms (Adjudicating Authority, Appellate Authority, Director General, Importer exporter Code, licence, Order, Prescribed). The section also defines services, specified goods or services or technology subject to restrictions for national security and international obligations, and broadly defines technology including non public information and software usable in development or industrial activity.
