EOUs Can Export via Couriers Under 'Courier Export/Import Regulations, 1998,' Use SOFTEX Form for Electronic Exports
Export Oriented Units (EOUs) can export through couriers, following the 'Courier Export/Import Regulations, 1998,' with procedures similar to standard exports. EOUs can also export products, samples, or spares via foreign post offices. For electronic exports, EOUs and Software Technology Parks (STP) units must use the SOFTEX form instead of shipping bills. This form is submitted in triplicate to the STPI Director, who certifies and forwards copies to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the exporter. Upon realization of export proceeds, the authorized dealer submits the certified duplicate to the RBI for payment.
