Export Units Can't Sell Locally If Producing Cars, Liquor, Tea, Pepper, or Engaging in Repair Activities.
Certain Export Oriented Units (EOUs) are prohibited from selling in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) if they produce motor cars, alcoholic liquors, tea (excluding instant tea), pepper products, or engage in specific processing activities. Units focused on repair or re-engineering also cannot sell in the DTA. DTA sale entitlement is granted only if the unit achieves positive Net Foreign Exchange (NFE) based on the Free on Board (FOB) value of physical exports. Deemed exports are excluded, but sales to special economic zones count if paid from EEFC accounts, adhering to specific notifications and circulars.
