of <h1>Amendment to Income-tax Act Section 35A: New Date Clause Added Effective April 1, 1999, per Finance Act 1998.</h1> In section 35A of the Income-tax Act, sub-section (1) is amended to include the phrase 'but before the 1st day of April, 1998' following the existing reference to 'after the 28th day of February, 1966.' This amendment takes effect from April 1, 1999, as per the Finance (No. 2) Act, 1998.
