Amendment to Section 53A updates cross references to expand which subsections of the principal Act apply. Amendment updates the cross references in Section 53A(1)(a) by substituting the earlier citation to sub sections (2) and (6) of section 26 with a reference to sub section (6) of section 6 and sub sections (2), (2A), (6) and (9) of section 26; the amendment commences on the tenth day of September, 2024 by notification.
