of <h1>New Section 12: Two-Year Ban on Post-Term Employment for Competition Commission Chairperson and Members, with Government Role Exception.</h1> The Competition (Amendment) Act, 2023 introduces a new Section 12, imposing a two-year restriction on the Chairperson and Members of the Commission from accepting employment or advisory roles with any enterprise or individual involved in proceedings before the Commission. They are also prohibited from representing any person or enterprise before the Commission after ceasing office. However, this restriction does not apply to employment with the Central or State Government, local authorities, statutory bodies, or government companies as defined under the Companies Act, 2013.
