The amendment restricts use and disclosure of identity information collected for Aadhaar authentication or offline verification to purposes communicated in writing to the individual at the time of data submission, requiring those purposes to be clearly and precisely stated; it also replaces the term 'core biometric information' in subsection (4) with 'demographic information or photograph.'
