The amendment redefines 'Aadhaar number' to include any alternative virtual identity and inserts definitions for 'Aadhaar ecosystem' (enrolling agencies, Registrars, requesting entities, offline verification seeking entities and others), 'Adjudicating Officer', 'Appellate Tribunal', 'child' (person under eighteen years), and both 'offline verification' and 'offline verification seeking entity' to enable offline identity verification modes as prescribed by regulations.
