<h1>New Clauses in Aadhaar Act: Authentication Purposes, Adjudicating Officer Criteria, and Appeal Process Details Revised</h1> Section 53 of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, as amended by the Aadhaar and Other Laws (Amendment) Act, 2019, introduces new clauses. Clause (aa) specifies the purposes for which a requesting entity may be permitted by the Authority to perform authentication. Clauses (ga) and (gb) outline the qualifications, experience, and appointment process for the Adjudicating Officer under section 33B, and the form, manner, and fee for filing an appeal under section 33C, respectively.
