of <h1>Regulation 11 of SEBI (Underwriters) Regulations, 1993, omitted; impacted refusal of underwriter registration. Effective December 8, 2016.</h1> Regulation 11 of the SEBI (Underwriters) Regulations, 1993, which addressed the consequences of refusal to grant or renew a certificate of registration for underwriters, has been omitted as of December 8, 2016. Previously, the regulation stipulated that an underwriter whose application was refused could not continue underwriting activities from the date of receipt of the refusal notice. However, the Board could allow the continuation of existing commitments if deemed in the investors' interest. This provision was amended multiple times before its eventual omission.
