of <h1>SEBI Amends Underwriters Regulations 1993; Removes Regulation 9 on Certificate Renewal Process Effective July 5, 2011.</h1> Regulation 9 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Underwriters) Regulations, 1993, concerning the renewal of certificates for underwriters, was omitted by the SEBI (Underwriters) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011, effective from July 5, 2011. Previously, underwriters could apply for certificate renewal using Form A three months before expiry, accompanied by a non-refundable fee as per Schedule II. The renewal process was handled similarly to initial certificate applications under regulation 3.
