        Registration requirement for custodians: application in prescribed form with fee; failure halts activities and invites Board directions. Persons proposing to carry on business as custodians must apply to the Board for a certificate; persons already carrying on business at commencement must apply within three months (extendable by the Board up to six months). Applications are to be made in Form A with the application fee specified in the Second Schedule. Failure to apply within the prescribed or extended period requires the person to cease custodian activities and subjects them to the Board's directions regarding transfer of records, documents or securities.
