of <h1>India-ASEAN Trade Safeguard Measures Rules, 2016: Effective Upon Official Gazette Notification, Aligning with Provisional Imposition Date.</h1> The safeguard measure under the India-ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2016, becomes effective from the date of its notification in the Official Gazette. If a provisional safeguard measure is imposed and the Director General finds that increased imports cause or threaten serious injury to the domestic industry, the notification will specify that the safeguard measure takes effect from the date of the provisional measure's imposition.
