          <h1>India-ASEAN Trade Agreement Rules 2016: Safeguard Measures Under Customs Tariff Act 1975 & Customs Act 1962</h1> The India-ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (Safeguard Measures) Rules, 2016, established by the Government of India through the Ministry of Finance, Central Board of Excise and Customs, are enacted under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and the Customs Act, 1962. These rules are designed to regulate safeguard measures related to trade between India and ASEAN countries. They become effective upon their publication in the Official Gazette, as per the notification issued on March 4, 2016.
