of <h1>New Rules for Appointment and Qualification of Directors Under Companies Act, 2013, Effective March 31, 2014</h1> These rules, titled the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014, were established by the Government of India under the Companies Act, 2013. They supersede previous rules under the Companies Act, 1956, except for actions completed before this supersession. The rules derive authority from specific sections of the Companies Act, 2013, and address the appointment and qualification of directors. They became effective upon their publication in the Official Gazette on March 31, 2014.
