Directors must notify disqualification via Form DIR-8; companies file Form DIR-9 with Registrar within 30 days.
Directors must notify their company of any disqualification under section 164(1) or (2) using Form DIR-8 before appointment or re-appointment. Upon receiving this information, the company must file Form DIR-9 with the Registrar within thirty days. If a company fails to file financial statements, annual returns, or meet financial obligations, it must immediately file Form DIR-9, listing all directors from relevant years. Failure to file within thirty days results in officers being deemed in default. The Registrar registers Form DIR-9 for public inspection. Applications to remove disqualifications are made using Form DIR-10 to the Regional Director.
