<h1>Customs Broker License Suspension: Principal Commissioner Can Act Immediately Under Regulation 19; Hearing Required Within 15 Days.</h1> Regulation 19 of the Customs Brokers Licensing Regulations, 2013 allows the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs to suspend a Customs Broker's license if immediate action is necessary and an inquiry is pending or contemplated. Upon suspension, the Customs Broker must be given a hearing within fifteen days. Following the hearing, the Commissioner may decide to revoke or continue the suspension, with a decision required within fifteen days of the hearing. If the suspension continues, further procedures are outlined in regulation 20.
