Customs broker licensing required - licence mandate with narrow exemptions for self trading importers, credentialed employees, and vessel/aircraft agents. A person must hold a Customs Broker licence to carry on business as a customs broker at any Customs Station in relation to conveyance movements or import/export of goods. Exceptions are limited to: an importer or exporter transacting solely on their own account; employees acting on behalf of a person or firm who hold an identity card or temporary pass issued by the Deputy or Assistant Commissioner of Customs; and an agent employed for vessels or aircrafts when acting solely to enter or clear those vessels or aircrafts for work incidental to their employment.
