Proof of origin requirements govern origin declarations, certificates and exporter responsibility under the India-EFTA trade framework.

Proof of origin for goods originating in a Party may be established through an origin declaration, a movement certificate EUR.1, a certificate of origin, or a self-declared certificate of origin, depending on the exporter and issuing authority. The exporter assumes full responsibility for any proof of origin completed or applied for, and the proof remains valid for twelve months from the date of completion or issuance.
