Rules of origin governance establishes a consensus-based sub-committee to monitor implementation, guide product specific rules, and coordinate cooperation.

A Sub-Committee on Rules of Origin is established under the India-EFTA trade and economic partnership framework, comprising representatives of the Parties. The Sub-Committee monitors implementation, exchanges information, discusses operational matters, and prepares interpretations and guidelines for Annexure-A product specific rules in light of periodic HS code amendments. It may also prepare recommendations and reports for the Joint Committee, acts by consensus, and meets at least once every two years unless the Parties agree otherwise.
