of <h1>Changes to Section 194A: Clause (c) and Clause (ii) Modifications Effective April 1, 2000</h1> Section 194A of the Income-tax Act is amended, effective April 1, 2000. In sub-section (3), clause (i) of the proviso, specifically clause (c), will no longer include the words, brackets, and figures 'and which is for the time being approved by the Central Government for the purpose of clause (viii) of sub-section (1) of section 36.' Additionally, clause (ii) is entirely omitted.
