of <h1>Insolvency professionals must have valid authorization for new assignments post-December 31, 2019, per Regulation 7A.</h1> Regulation 7A of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Professionals) Regulations, 2016 mandates that insolvency professionals must possess a valid authorisation for assignment to accept or commence any assignment after December 31, 2019. This requirement does not apply to assignments already underway as of December 31, 2019, or those continuing after the expiry of the professional's authorisation. The regulation was inserted and later amended by notifications in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
