of <h1>Regulation 9 allowing temporary registration of insolvency professionals with 15 years of practice omitted from 2016 regulations.</h1> Regulation 9 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Insolvency Professionals) Regulations, 2016, which allowed for the registration of insolvency professionals for a limited period, has been omitted. Previously, individuals with 15 years of practice as chartered accountants, company secretaries, cost accountants, or advocates could register temporarily as insolvency professionals until December 31, 2016, by submitting an application and a fee. This registration was valid for six months, during which they could not undertake new assignments after expiration but could complete pending ones.
