of <h1>Options in Goods Illegal Under Section 19 of Forward Contracts Act 1952; Unfulfilled Pre-Enactment Options Rendered Void</h1> Section 19 of the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, prohibits options in goods. It declares that all options in goods entered into after the enactment of this section are illegal. Furthermore, any options in goods established before the enactment date, which remain unfulfilled either wholly or partially, are rendered void to the extent of their unfulfilled obligations. This provision overrides any conflicting laws or provisions within the Act or other existing laws.
