of <h1>Associations in Forward Contracts Must Register Under Amended 1952 Act; Existing Ones Have Six Months to Apply</h1> Under the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, as amended in 1960, all associations involved in regulating forward contracts must obtain a certificate of registration from the Commission. Existing associations at the amendment's commencement have six months to apply, extendable up to a year, while new associations must apply before starting business. Existing associations can continue operations until their application is processed, and recognized associations will receive a certificate free of charge.
