Government Can Amend Bye-Laws for Recognized Associations Under Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952; Objections Reviewed Within Six Months
The Central Government has the authority to create or amend bye-laws for recognized associations under the Forward Contracts (Regulation) Act, 1952, either upon request from the association's governing body or if deemed necessary. Once made or amended, these bye-laws are published in the Gazette of India and take effect as if enacted by the association itself. If the governing body objects to any changes made by the government, it can request a revision within six months. The government may revise the bye-laws after hearing the association's concerns. All changes are subject to conditions of previous publication, which may be waived in public or trade interest.
