          <h1>Special Court jurisdiction required for offences under the Depositories Act, with High Court allocation where multiple courts exist.</h1> All offences under the Depositories Act are to be taken cognizance of and triable by the Special Court for the area where the offence is committed; where more than one Special Court exists, the High Court may specify which Special Court will exercise jurisdiction, notwithstanding the Code of Criminal Procedure, and this provision was inserted by amendment related to the Securities Laws Ordinance.
