Regulation 35B on 1% Deposit for Securitized Debt Listings Removed in 2018 Under SEBI Rules
Regulation 35B of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulations, concerning the listing of securitized debt instruments, was omitted by a notification in 2018. Previously, it required issuers to deposit 1% of the securities offered for public subscription with stock exchanges before opening the subscription list. This deposit was to be handled as specified by SEBI or the stock exchanges and could be refundable or forfeitable according to SEBI's guidelines. The regulation was initially inserted in 2015 under the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations.
