Officer jurisdiction under the Act allocates statewide or local authority to Commissioner, Special and Additional Commissioners and other officers. The Government may appoint additional officers; the Commissioner has statewide jurisdiction; the Special Commissioner and Additional Commissioner have jurisdiction statewide or over directed local areas for assigned functions; other officers' jurisdiction is subject to specified conditions and may be limited to the State or particular local areas by Commissioner's order.
