Rule 11: Declare Value, Quantity, Quality, and Description for Imports/Exports; Include Services and Tech as of 2015 Amendment.
Under Rule 11 of the Foreign Trade (Regulation) Rules 1993, any owner of goods, services, or technology imported into or exported from customs ports must declare the value, quantity, quality, and description in the Bill of Entry, Shipping Bill, or other prescribed documents under the Customs Act, 1962. For exports, the owner must certify that the quality and specifications align with the export contract terms. A declaration affirming the truth of these statements must be included at the document's end. This rule was amended in 2015 to include services and technology in the declaration requirements.
