          <h1>Public Debt Management Agency status and functions: centralised issuance and management of government securities under government supervision.</h1> Establishes a Public Debt Management Agency under Central Government superintendence to manage public debt by issuing, purchasing, re issuing and trading Government securities, collecting and publishing debt information, and conducting related transactions; vests governance in a Board of executive and nominee Members; empowers the Central Government to entrust issuance of securities and issue directions; makes the Agency responsible for payments to holders of Government securities; deems Members, employees and delegated persons to be public servants under section 21 of the Indian Penal Code; and contemplates tax exemption for the Agency.
