Public Debt Management Agency powers to manage issuance and payment of Government securities under central oversight. Establishes a Public Debt Management Agency under Central Government superintendence to minimise long term debt cost and risk, governed by a Board. The Agency will collect and publish public debt information, purchase, re issue and trade Government securities, carry out other debt management transactions, be entrusted with issuance of securities, and be responsible for making payments to holders of Government securities in accordance with their terms, subject to Central Government rules and directions and exemption from tax.
