Authorised courier registration required before operating; registration permits nationwide customs transactions upon station-specific intimation to customs authority. Registration as an Authorised courier requires submission of an application in Form A to the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs having jurisdiction over the area from which goods are to be imported or exported. A courier registered under regulation ten may transact business at all Customs Stations nationwide provided the courier gives an intimation in Form A to the Principal Commissioner of Customs or Commissioner of Customs having jurisdiction over each Customs Station where business is to be conducted.
