of <h1>Amendments to Courier Regulations: Import Limit Raised, New Definitions Added, Registration Validity Extended to Ten Years</h1> The Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Regulations, 1998 have been amended as per notification CUS NTF NO. 09/2007 (NT) dated 07/02/2007. The amendments include increasing the import value limit from five thousand to ten thousand rupees in clauses (c) and (d). A new definition for 'Form' is added, and the application process for registration as an authorized courier is updated, requiring submission in Form A to the relevant Commissioner of Customs. The validity of registration is extended from three to ten years. Additional procedural updates are made regarding bond and security requirements and the introduction of Form A for registration applications.
