Courier registration: updated Form A, longer registration term, higher import thresholds and station-specific bond obligations. Amendments increase import monetary limits and substitute regulation 7 to require authorised couriers to apply for registration in Form A to the Commissioner of Customs for the area of operations, permitting registered couriers to transact at all Customs Stations upon intimation in Form A. Registration term under regulation 10 is lengthened, and regulation 12 is replaced to require each registered or intimating authorised courier to furnish bond and security under regulation 11 for each Customs station. Form A is inserted setting out required applicant details and an affirmation to abide by the Regulations.
