of <h1>Goods May Lose Preferential Tariff if Origin Info Lacking or Visit Denied, Per Rule 27 of Customs Tariff Rules.</h1> In situations where the required information or documentation from the exporting party's authorities is not provided within the deadline, lacks sufficient detail, or if producers refuse a visit, the importing party's authorities may determine that the goods do not meet origin requirements. Consequently, they can deny preferential tariff treatment to the products specified in the origin certificate under investigation, in accordance with Rule 21, thereby concluding the investigation. This is outlined in Rule 27 of the Customs Tariff Rules, 2009, related to the Preferential Trade Agreement between MERCOSUR member states and India.
